Utilizing email marketing. Let's get into it what's up boss, babies welcome back to another article. Without the K. Now, as y'all can tell by the title, we are going to be talking about how I turned what was basically zero dollars into four grand in about 24 hours. It literally just hit the 24 hour mark, so this was technically under 24 hours, but if you're being Technical and then also this was possible with email marketing. Y'All know, I've been talking about email marketing a lot more on this channel. So I'm going to show you exactly how this happened.
I know there has been discourse in the past about me, being you know real private. Some would even call it secret Tales when it comes to my e-commerce stores and that honestly, y'all probably never change. I'Ve already told y'all my reasons for that. However, I am working with some adult Brands and they have given me permission to show what I'm doing for them. So I get to show y'all.
Basically still me working still me doing everything I tell y'all y'all. I should do to make more sales in your business, but y'all get to see it kind of behind the scenes and I'm actually showing you versus just telling you so yeah. This is really my first campaign with them, so I'm helping them out with some marketing strategies and you know making more sales by being more intentional, being more strategic with their marketing. So the first thing I had to do was get very familiar with their data and with what the business has already done so far, so I printed out a million in one documents. Y'All can see that in this clip, where I'm basically going over everything Finance Wise from the past year up into the last three months, because that's really the data that I pay close attention to in hindsight. That'S really going to give you a great idea of where the business is, what things can be improved on, what to double down on all that so yeah everything got printed out from sales, of course, gross and net, which is very important to look at both. So you can see it's the business and Profit the average order, value which has definitely increased since last year for the past 90 days, sales and by product, meaning what is the best selling product that the company is selling?
What do people gravitate towards and, of course sessions by referrals, are basically, where are people coming from? What'S the leading referral sites, this could be social media. This could be offline. This could be different marketing channels. That'S all important information to know.
So it took me a few hours to go through all of that make my notes and see exactly what it is I'm working with. So after I got a good idea of where the business was, then I had a meeting with the owner and you guys can see a little bit behind the scenes of that meeting here now now, post group last year, um had the highest conversion rate out of Everything you were doing sitting at 41. They set it up at that time. Okay, so I definitely think we need to run that back. That'S a 41, because that means half of everybody that got a text message purchased.
If 100 people got a text message, 50 was checking out well about 40 40 now we don't want to just Overlook that now. It is very, very important that y'all watch this article to the very end, because there may just be a pot of gold at the end. I don't know so stick around and find out so the thing about Tick Tock. Why and why these numbers are very surprising, is because Tick Tock don't have a great conversion rate at all tick. Tock is mostly you know.
A lot of people are focused on the virality of Tick Tock, but it's not great typically for sales. Unless you continue to show up and people, you know kind of fall for your personality or follow for the community behind your brand. But for you to not even be posting consistently and you have an eight percent conversion rate, that's like okay! This is like it's a Telltale sign. We need to hone in on Tick, Tock, okay and that's still in the top three.
So those are your top three. The hair oil, the kids hair, moisture and then the cleansing and strengthen what that tells me is those products, never I Won't Say Never, but rarely needs to go on sale. Obviously, you've already announced it, so we don't want to double back on that. But that's like a Black Friday, those sales that come rarely, you don't want to always put those on sale because they're selling, just fine so yeah you guys got to see a little bit behind the scenes of the meeting. Basically, the meeting is for me to get a gauge of where the business stands on paper and then also where the business owner thinks the business is because I don't think a lot of people take the time out to really take a look at their finances study.
Their analytics study their data yeah, I'm a data girl like I love to look at numbers, especially when it comes to my coins and it's very important to know your numbers, because that is going to tell you where to put more effort into where you're overspending. What people are naturally already shopping? You really have everything you need to take your business to the next level, but not enough people take the time out to actually do the boring stuff y'all, the boring stuff. That'S where the gold is. The boring self is where the goat is, so the meeting went really well, and this campaign was specifically for Mother's Day.
So, like I told y'all before this was done with a zero dollar marketing budget. There was no budget at all. That means cannot run ads, cannot hire influencers, no money up front Okay and we're still able to turn around four thousand dollars, specifically in less than 24 hours, and when we actually take a look at these analytics. Y'All can see that that was a huge hike for this business this past month, so it was 100 from the strategies that I implemented into this brand. So yes, it is definitely possible to you, know, make something out of nothing but, like I mentioned y'all, this brand has been around.
They have a lot of customers, but at the time they are just marketing on Instagram and missing out on a lot of money, leaving a lot of money on the table. So that's why I'm here to actually diversify how the company is marketing to make more money. Like at the end of the day, that's that's why I'm here so let's go ahead and take a look at the campaigns that I created and look at some data: okay, okay, so there was multiple emails saying I'm going to describe them all, but before I do It'S important to note that the customer was actually segmented into different groups right so just to break this down into layman terms. Your customers are different, they have different desires, they have different Necessities, they have different spending habits, they have different budgets. So what you want to do is make sure that you are accommodating who's who so for this Mother's Day campaign, because we were really short on time and I couldn't necessarily run this campaign as long as I would prefer, or as long as I would definitely recommend.
There'S only two sales right, so one was for 15 off and the next sale was for 20 off okay, so the 15 off was only on specific products and it ran shorter than the 20 off sale. So the 15 off was open for everyone. There was no requirements, it was a public sale. There was no code, you can go in there, you can, you know, get your 15 off. Those products that was listed under the sale, so 20 off sale was only for VIP customers.
So there were certain qualifications to be listed as a VIP customer. You have to have spent a certain amount of money and you also have had to have shopped within a certain amount of time. So just because you have spent you know, five six seven hundred dollars with this company doesn't mean nothing if you haven't shopped in two years, you're, not technically a VIP Customer, because we haven't seen you in a while um. So those were segmented differently. Those two groups of people, so there were different campaigns going out depending on who you were so like.
I mentioned they're only marketing on Instagram and not Instagram posts really just Instagram stories. So it's important to know y'all, that for one a lot of people don't spend as much time on Instagram anymore for two. They don't see your posts nowhere near as much as they used to and for three. You can assume that they've seen it so the sale had already started on the Instagram stories. So by the time this campaign went out, the sale was going to be over that same day, but it's super important.
We still got this out. I was like we're still going to get this. This email campaign out so after that email was sent still started to come through almost immediately honestly, but about two hours later for those who didn't purchase. Another email went out. It was only two hours left for the sale, so that's super important because just like people may not see your Instagram posts, people may miss out on your emails as well.
So you don't want to just send one email, because a lot of people were sending campaigns for Mother's Day, so your email could have just got lost in a bunch or maybe they opened it and then you know got distracted and forgot about it. So you want to send another email, especially now that it's a time crunch scene fomo is real and people don't like feeling left out. So you want to use it to your advantage and make sure that you are sending out reminder emails, okay, so again, y'all this email was specific for the 15 off sale. This was a public sale. Now, that's just for one segment group of people.
Now the other group of people was for the VIP customer, so the VIP customers that was not a public sale, was not listed anywhere. The VIP email looks a lot differently. One thing I will say: that's super important for email marketing is your subject line and your preview Tech. Your subject line is the thing that grabs them it's the hook, so you want to make sure that the subject line is going to make people want to click on your email and read your email and the easiest way to study this, which I highly suggest studying It literally studying it is creating you, a separate email account separate from your business email, separate than a personal email, that you have create a brand new email account and sign up for emails from different businesses. I think I've talked about this before, so you can actually look at the emails that they're sending you and really study the psychology behind the subject lines and the preview text and the words that they use more so trigger words to get you to click, because once You click now the goods are inside right, so this was with the VIP email looked like and it was very short sweet straight to the point.
Our exclusive VIP sale. Only a select few receive this email and we're pleased to know that you are one of them right, so it's really just making sure they actually know that not everybody had access to the sale. You are VIP and this is just for you. People love that y'all. They just love it, like think about, think about yourself.
You love it VIP members only into the VIP area and the VIP sale was for all products, except for um. I think two products, so the entire website was on sale, unlike the 15, also, which was the public sale. So now, the fun part which is looking at the numbers and seeing how this all unfolded. So as of right now, the 15 off sale has completely ended and the 20 off sale is still running until midnight tonight. So yesterday, both sales brought in 2 800 and today the numbers are sitting at 700.
So there are still going to be two more emails that are sent out as a reminder, like I told y'all, for the 20 off sale, the goal is to get this number closer to two as well. To hit about five thousand dollars grows within the past 24 hours so between today, and yesterday it's been a day. If we take a look at the past month, you can see that that was such a huge hike for the brand. So it just really tells the story of being strategic being intentional and having a plan y'all. This is why I stress the importance of knowing your numbers and knowing how to Market, knowing your customers and understanding your brand, because literally anything is possible.
If I can come in and help them make five thousand dollars in one day from a campaign that only ran 48 hours literally 48 Hours, imagine what's five thousand dollars times thirty, because there's 30 days in a month and honestly, five thousand dollars is really on the Low end for what they could be making in this brand. So if you look at it that way, if you were to make five thousand dollars every single day in a month, that's a hundred and fifty thousand dollars - and she told me to go - was thirty thousand. My mind automatically went to at least 50 to 100 000 gross. It'S possible. All you need is a plan and actually taking the time out to understand what you're doing and why you're doing it.
Some other things y'all, obviously marketing understanding, the psychology of the buyer and all that good stuff. But so that brings me to my next point. I mentioned a few months ago that I would be offering Services really soon and that time has come. I know y'all probably wondering like how did they get you to work with them? I have taken the time out and realized that me teaching for so long.
